1-800-goog-411
This is an awesome new service from Google…it’s nationwide and it’s absolutely free. Put the number on your cell phone, or home phone speed dial. Here’s an example of how it works. I’m driving along in my car and I need to call a local golf club, and I don’t know the number. I safely pull over, hit the speed dial for information that I have programmed…1-800-goog-411. The voice at the other end says, ‘”City & State.” I say, “Victor, New York.” He says, “Business, Name or Type of Service.” I say, “Ravenwood Golf Club.’ He says, “Connecting” and Ravenwood Golf Club answers the phone. How great is that? To watch a short demo, visit www.google.com/goog411.
CloudPad
For Windows users, CloudPad is a good note-taking alternative to Notepad. Creating notes is really simple. Write them up, give them a title and set their priority. You can also tag your notes with descriptive words and phrases, which allows you to organize your notes so that you can view them by priority level. You can search for both note titles and content. And you can easily locate common note tags through a tag cloud. Download it for free at http://sourceforge.net/projects/cloudpad/files/.
